Step aboard our Historic Train Ride and experience the charm of Hawaii's only operating historic railway. This 2-hour round-trip train ride takes you through Oahu’s stunning Leeward side at a leisurely 15 miles per hour, offering breathtaking views of the Waianae Mountain range and the sparkling ocean at Kahe Point. Along the way, our fully narrated tour will share fascinating stories of the significance of the Oahu Railway & Land Company (OR&L), Whistle stop landmark area where the "ghost town" of Gilbert was and a former sisal plantation and many more.
This family-friendly ride is perfect for visitors and locals alike, providing an educational adventure. On all rides except Sunday’s 1 PM departure, we stop for ice cream in Ko Olina. After the ride, feel free to explore our picnic area, view our vintage locomotives, and browse our gift shop.
What's Included

- Toy Train Museum Hours Wed. 12-1pm, Sat. 11-3 (close for lunch 12-1), Sun. 12 - 3 (close for lunch 1-2)
- Post-Ride Activities: After the journey, guests are welcome to explore the picnic area, view vintage locomotives, and browse the gift shop.

Check-in Details
- Check in time 1 hour prior to time of ride no later than the 45 minute time to the hour.
- Reason for early arrival, you will be able to check out the static display in the yard, the gift shop before you board. Your choice to come early.
- Seats are a first come first serve basis so where you are standing in line that is how you pick your seats.
- Restrooms located in the gift shop.
- You can book online, call office to make reservation (highly suggested for guaranteed seats), walk ins are welcome but not guaranteed.
- Online booking please check in at the Gift shop with your confirmation email and please have your I.D for proof of discount and to pick up your physical train ride tickets to board.
- No restroom on train. Please use restroom before boarding. Restroom will be available if train stops in Ko Olina for a 25-minute break.
- Free Parking available on site, please park in designated area. If you need assistance just look out for crew members and they can assist you.
- If you made a mistake with booking please call the office at (808) 681-5461 and we can make the corrections.
What to bring
- If you like bring a cushion to sit on, seats are wooden benches.
- Strollers are welcome but needs to be able to fold.
- Snacks and drinks are welcome aboard
