Itinerary
- Check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the ride
- Sign a safety waiver (minors must be signed for by a parent or guardian)
- Select a helmet that fits snugly
- Collect a saddle bag for your phone and small items
- Participate in a short safety demonstration about 15 minutes before the ride
- Guests are loaded onto pre-assigned horses (horses assigned by weight; no changes allowed)
- Guide will lead the group out for the trail ride
- Horses may stop to relieve themselves; guide will ensure no one is left behind
- Enjoy the ride and scenery
- Stop on the way back for photos at the guide's direction
- Remain mounted for safe dismounting on return
- Feed treats to the horses under guide instruction
- Staff available after the ride for merchandise purchases and questions

Check-in Details
Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled start time at 1 Palehua Rd, Kapolei, HI 96707 to check in.
Minors (18 and under) must have a parent or guardian sign the safety waiver at check in.
A safety demonstration is held about 15 minutes before the ride and attendance is required. If traveling from Waikiki, allow at least two hours travel time to arrive on time.

Each trail ride includes a stop at the end of the trail for free photos; guides will take pictures if you bring a phone or camera.

In the event of extreme weather, the company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the tour.
A parent or guardian must sign the safety waiver for anyone under 18; guests may request a waiver by emailing [email protected] if arriving without a parent.
Can my keiki under 8 years old still come on the ride?
Our insurance does not cover keiki under 8 years old.
Do we allow trotting or cantering for experienced riders?
No. The terrain is not suitable to go faster than a walk; only walking pace is allowed.
Pālehua Trail Rides Policies:
- Arrival: Guests must arrive 30 minutes prior to the ride start time. Late arrivals may only join at the company’s sole discretion.
- Cancellation/Change Policy: • Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the ride to be eligible for a refund. • For cancellations outside of 48 hours, contact staff by phone or email at [email protected] to be eligible for a refund. • Cancellations within 48 hours of the ride are non-refundable. No exceptions.
- Weather Cancellations: We ride rain or shine. Cancellation due to weather and trail conditions are at the company’s sole discretion.
- Sickness or Injury: Cancellations within 48 hours due to illness or injury are eligible for a one-year company credit in the form of a gift certificate, contingent upon the submission of a valid doctor’s note.
- Traffic Policy: Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals due to traffic, and 100% of the booking total will be kept.
- Guest Conduct: Guests must always follow staff instructions. Failure to comply may result in denial of services with no refund issued.
- Weight Limit: Guests exceeding the maximum weight of 230 lbs are not eligible for a refund.
- Helmets: Helmets are required for all rides and are provided by the company.
- Age Restrictions: Guests under 8 years of age are not permitted on the ride. A parent or guardian must sign for keiki under 18 years of age.
