As the third-largest and most populated island in Hawaii, Oahu offers several incredible sights. Home to Hawaii’s capital city, Honolulu, and historic must-sees—including Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor—the only way to truly appreciate it all is through a helicopter tour over Oahu.
TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Your Hawaiian Doors Off helicopter tour begins with a beautiful view of Keehi Lagoon and continues over historic Honolulu Harbor, Aloha Tower, and the Natural Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. While flying over these beautiful landmarks, you’ll also get an incredible birds-eye view of the Koolau mountains, Ala Moana Beach Park, and Waikiki Beach. Next on the tour are some of Oahu’s most stunning vistas, including Kaawa Valley, Sacred Falls, the North Shore, and more. Finally, your tour concludes with a breathtaking view of Oahu’s most historic sights, including Pearl Harbor, the Arizona Memorial and the Battleship Missouri.

What to bring
Suggestions
- Bring a light jacket. The flight can be chilly and windy.
- Wear sunglasses to keep the wind out of your eyes.
- Wear closed toed shoes. Loose “Slippers” (sandals) will be removed and stored during your flight to make sure they don’t fly out the door.
- Arrive at our office 45 minutes before your scheduled flight time.
Special requirements
- Guests must be able to step up 3 steps to board.
- Not wheelchair accessible.
- Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Doors Off
To ensure a safe and enjoyable, we must enforce the following rules:
- Only one camera or phone per person on the tour, and they must have a secure strap. Straps are available for purchase.
- No hats allowed.
- No purses, bags allowed.
- No loose items in your pockets.
Seating & Weight Restrictions
- When you book, you will be asked to choose “Open Seating” or “First Class”. Open Seating means that your seats will be assigned by our staff. This is done to properly balance the helicopter.
- If you choose to upgrade to “First Class” you will be seated up front with the pilot.*
*Note: First Class seats are only sold in pairs, and there is a combined weight limit of 340 lbs for the two first class seats.
- The minimum age to fly is 10 yrs old.
- Each child between 10 & 14 must be seated next to a responsible adult.
- No lap children are allowed, each person is required to wear a seat belt.
- Passengers over 250 lbs may be subject to a capacity fee.
- Passengers over 300 lbs may need to purchase a comfort seat.
- For groups of 3-4, two of the passengers must have a combined weight of no more than 340 lbs to accommodate the front seats of the helicopter. Please note: Passengers are seated according to weight and balance limits of the aircraft. If the limits are exceeded, some parties may need to be split up and fly in separate aircraft, or purchase an additional seat.
Magnum Helicopters has a 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. All cancellations/rescheduling must be done no less than 48 hours prior to tour departure. Any cancellations/rescheduling done within (48) hours will not be honored. No-shows will be a full charge.
Weather: The weather can change rapidly in Hawaii. While we make every effort to notify you as soon as possible for changes, the pilot will make a weather call up to 15 minutes prior to flight time. If the tour is cancelled due to weather, we will give you an option to reschedule based on availability or refund.
If inclement weather is encountered during the flight, the pilot can change the route, at their discretion, for safety.
