About
Perfect for both experienced riders or for guests who have never ridden a horse before, our rides offer a fun and unique experience. During your ride, you’ll have a spectacular view of the ocean and may catch a glimpse of a sea turtle who like to come feed on the rocks in front of the polo field. You will be riding real working polo ponies who will take very good care of you.

Itinerary
- Check-in 30 Minutes prior to the start of the ride
- Staff will ask you to sign a safety waiver (Keiki must be signed for by a parent or guardian)
- Select a helmet that fits snug on your head. We have variety of different sizes!
- Grab a saddle bag for your phone! (Keeps your hands free for the ride)
- About a few minutes before the start of the ride, we will begin a short safety demo
- After the demo is completed, we will start loading guests on their pre-assigned horses! (horses are picked based off your weight and no changes will be allowed)
- After your group has been loaded, the guide will mount and guide everyone out for their beautiful and momentous trail ride!
- Horses might stop on the way out to relieve themselves. Do not worry, your guide will stop and ensure everyone is not left behind!
- Sit back and relax and enjoy your ride!
- On the way back, your guide will let you know when you will stop to take pictures. This is the perfect time to grab a special memorable photo to remember this special adventure.
- On return, your guide will ask you to remain on the horse to ensure we can safely dismount everyone.
- After dismount, we have treats for the horses. Your guide will safely instruct you on how to feed the horses.
- After the ride, staff will be around to assist with any merchandise purchases or answer any further questions about the ride!

Check-in Details
Please arrive promptly 30 minutes before your activity's start time to check in. Trail Rides start right on time!
The trail ride departs promptly from the barn at your selected ride time.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes after the ride’s departure, you will be considered late and unable to join.
If you are coming from Waikiki, we suggest leaving at least 2 hours prior to the start of the ride. The trail ride is a timed occurrence, and we do not want you to miss the whole experience.
Please allow ample time to park, check in, sign the safety waiver, select a helmet, use the bathroom, and participate in our short 10 minute safety demo. After the safety demo, you will be given your preassigned horse. The trail guide will lead the trail out at the ride start time.

Extras
Each trail ride includes a stop on picture beach for free photos! Bring your phone or camera, and your guide will capture your memories for you!
Disclaimers
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a ride due to extreme weather.
Do we allow trotting or cantering for experienced riders?
No, the sand is too deep for the horses to go faster than a walk.
Can my Keiki under 8 years old still come on the ride?
Our insurance does not cover Keiki under 8 years old!
What Should I Wear?
We do not have a pant or shoe requirement! Wear whatever is comfortable for you!
Hawaii Polo Oceanfront Trail Rides Policies:

Arrival: Guests must arrive 30 Minutes prior to the ride start time for Sunshine Rides and 45 Minutes for Sunset Rides. Late arrivals may only join at the company’s sole discretion.

Cancellation/Change Policy:
- Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the ride to be eligible for a refund.
- For cancellations outside of 48 hours, contact staff by phone (808-220-5153) or email [email protected] to be eligible for a refund.
- Cancellations or changes within 48 hours of the ride are non-refundable. No exceptions.
- No shows are non-refundable.

Weather Cancellations: We ride rain or shine. Cancellation due to weather conditions are at the company’s sole discretion.

Sickness or Injury: Cancellations within 48 hours due to illness or injury are eligible for a one-year company credit in the form of a gift certificate, contingent upon the submission of a valid doctor’s note.

Traffic Policy: Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals due to traffic or ride-shares, and 100% of the booking total will be kept.

Guest Conduct: Guests must always follow staff instructions. Failure to comply will result in dismounting and return to the stable by vehicle, with no refunds issued. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and refunds will not be issued.

Weight Limit: Guests exceeding the maximum weight of 230 lbs are not eligible for a refund.

Helmets: Helmets are required for all rides and are provided by the company.

Age Restrictions: Guests under 8 years of age are not permitted on the ride. A parent or guardian must sign for keiki under 18 years of age.
