Join us aboard a 53-foot (16-meter) catamaran and set sail off the coast of Oahu on this snorkeling trip. Sail up the coastline and head out to snorkel, where you can find several species of tropical fish, and then dine on a fresh lunch with vegetarian options and tropical cocktails before returning to shore.

What's not included

Please bring your towels, change of clothes if necessary as well as a light coat. Souvenirs are available for purchase so please remember to bring cash or a credit card. The crew also appreciates any gratuity you choose!

Dolphin and Seasonal Whale Watching
During your shoreline sail, your friendly and knowledgeable captain and crew will be on the lookout for a viewing encounter with the playful and entertaining Hawaiian spinner dolphins and majestic, seasonal Alaskan humpback whales (December thru March).

Snorkel Site – Tropical Reef Fish and A Variety of Exotic Oceanlife
Your captain will choose from two fabulous west Oahu snorkel reefs, each teeming with tropical reef fish, exotic ocean wildlife and frequent visits from a variety of rays.

The Friendly Green Sea Turtles offers you a rare opportunity to encounter amazing and friendly green-sea turtles up close at, a natural turtle cleaning station where algae-eating tropical reef fish clean their shells and skins

Check-in Details

Please check in at 92-100 Waipahe Place, Kapoeli, HI 96707. Pay for parking immediately upon arrival and be greeted by our hosts at the front of the Marina Office.
Arrive by 12:30 PM with ID, and be ready to board your barefoot cruise by the call of the captain.

FAQs

How many people will be on our cruise?
We require a minimum of 8 passengers for the tours. If we do not meet the minimum, we may contact you to reschedule or you may receive a refund.

Transportation buses from Waikiki. We require a minimum of at least 2 passengers for roundtrip transportation from Waikiki Hotels to the Ko Olina Marina.

The US Coast Guard certifies the Holole’a kai to comfortably sail with 40 passengers. We choose to keep the maximum at about 35 passengers for your safety and pleasure.

What is the size of the boat?
Our Gold Coast Catamaran is a luxurious 53’ by 29’ sailing vessel.

When is the best time to see whales and dolphins?
We have seasonal Alaskan Humpback whales sighting as early as mid-November and as late as the end of March. The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins are not seasonal and stay near our shores year round.
What is your winter weather policy?
Our company’s focus is on guest safety and guest comfort. When the winter’s big surf is upon us, we will cancel at captain’s discretion. We monitor weather and ocean conditions daily. For those trips that were cancelled due to the weather, we hope you are able to rebook with us. We apologize for any inconvenience. Other boat companies will take you out in any conditions but at Ko Olina Ocean Adventures we pride ourselves on guest safety first and guest satisfaction. We follow University of Hawaii NOOA National Weather Service advice and recommendations and are regulated by the United States Coast Guard.

Cancellations

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with 48 hours notice of cancellation (excluding private charters). Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged the full price.
