Our spectacular coastal view tour with the exclusivity or romance of your own private group and an exclusive opportunity to hike to the top of Nānākuli Valley!
We recommend this tour for couples looking to kindle their relationships or any group that seeks to have a more personal experience. Want to have some alone time with your significant other, your kids, or both? Make any trail ride time slot your own! Minimum group size is 2.
If the private ride is not available as an option, select the Sunset Group ride for additional availability. If available, groups of 2, 3 and 4 are split up for a semi-private experience.

Itinerary
- Check-in 30 Minutes prior to the start of the ride
- Staff will ask you to sign a safety waiver (Keiki must be signed for by a parent or guardian)
- Select a helmet that fits snug on your head. We have variety of different sizes!
- Grab a saddle bag for your phone! (Keeps your hands free for the ride)
- About a few minutes before the start of the ride, we will begin a short safety demo
- After the demo is completed, we will start loading guests on their pre-assigned horses! (horses are picked based off your weight and no changes will be allowed)
- After your group has been loaded, the guide will mount and guide everyone out for their beautiful and momentous trail ride!
- Horses might stop on the way out to relieve themselves. Do not worry, your guide will stop and ensure everyone is not left behind!
- Sit back and relax and enjoy your ride!
- On the way back, your guide will let you know when you will stop to take pictures. This is the perfect time to grab a special memorable photo to remember this special adventure.
- On return, your guide will ask you to remain on the horse to ensure we can safely dismount everyone.
- After dismount, we have treats for the horses. Your guide will safely instruct you on how to feed the horses.
- After the ride, staff will be around to assist with any merchandise purchases or answer any further questions about the ride!

Highlights
Our location is not open to the general public! Take a horseback ride at one of Oahu's exclusive locations with untouched terrain with expansive views of the sunset.
Check-in Details
Please arrive promptly 30 minutes before your activity's start time to check in.
You will be required to sign a safety waiver (Minors 18 and under must be signed for by parent or guardian - no exceptions).
About 15 minutes before the start of the ride, we will hold a safety demonstration with instructions on how to ride and handle a horse! Please be on time, so you can participate and watch the demo. This is a requirement prior to riding!
If you are coming from Waikiki, we suggest leaving at least 2 hours prior to the start of the ride. The trail ride is a timed occurrence, and we do not want you to miss the whole experience.

- Weight cannot exceed 230lbs.
- Helmets are a requirement for the ride, and are provided!
- Safety Waiver must be signed at check in
- Minors under 18 years old must be signed for by a parent or guardian.
- Backpacks are no allowed on the ride. We provide saddle bags to bring your phone, wallet, keys, water, ect!
Restrictions
Not suitable for pregnant Wahine or Keiki under 8 years old!
Extras
Each trail ride includes a stop on at the end of the trail for free photos! Bring your phone or camera, and your guide will capture your memories for you!

In the event of extreme weather, we reserve the right to cancel/reschedule the tour.
A parent or guardian will be required to sign a safety waiver for anyone under 18! Please email us at ([email protected]) and request a waiver ahead of time if you are coming without a parent
Can my Keiki under 8 years old still come on the ride?
Our insurance does not cover Keiki under 8 years old!
Do we allow trotting or cantering for experienced riders?
No! The terrain is not suitable to go faster than a walk.
Pālehua Trail Rides Policies:
- Arrival: Guests must arrive 30 minutes prior to the ride start time. Late arrivals may only join at the company’s sole discretion.
- Cancellation/Change Policy: • Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the ride to be eligible for a refund. • For cancellations outside of 48 hours, contact staff by phone or email at [email protected] to be eligible for a refund. • Cancellations within 48 hours of the ride are non-refundable. No exceptions.
- Weather Cancellations: We ride rain or shine. Cancellation due to weather and trail conditions are at the company’s sole discretion.
- Sickness or Injury: Cancellations within 48 hours due to illness or injury are eligible for a one-year company credit in the form of a gift certificate, contingent upon the submission of a valid doctor’s note.
- Traffic Policy: Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals due to traffic, and 100% of the booking total will be kept.
- Guest Conduct: Guests must always follow staff instructions. Failure to comply may result in denial of services with no refund issued.
- Weight Limit: Guests exceeding the maximum weight of 230 lbs are not eligible for a refund.
- Helmets: Helmets are required for all rides and are provided by the company.
- Age Restrictions: Guests under 8 years of age are not permitted on the ride. A parent or guardian must sign for keiki under 18 years of age.
